Some Good News

It's been a long time, but getting some good news on doing shows this year is very welcome, indeed.  It looks like Mission Federal ArtWalk San Diego is going to happen on Saturday, April 24 - Sunday April 25 held again in Little Italy. I'm sure we will all be wearing masks, but at least it's going to happen! I'll post more news on this show as we get closer, and where my booth will be.

Now to something that I have been thinking about posting. It's one of my double floats printed on metal with the brushed metal backing. This image is called "Patina Queen" and comes in various sizes.

This '53 Porsche coupe wears its well lived life emblazoned on its surface for all to wonder about. What roads did it travel, what scenery did it pass, and did it make its way along route 66 traveling from the East Coast to the West where it ended up? Questions that may never be answered. But as you and others gaze at it, thoughts come rushing in. Can I make "Patina Queen" yours?

Time to Move On

2020 to 2021, it's time to move on! I'm sure we'll all agree, it's time...

I would like to say your support this past year is really appreciated. With all my shows canceled, many of you were on my website and ordered photo paper prints, others ordered the custom limited edition metal prints, and still others ordered "Print on demand produces" like shirts, mask, phone cases, and canvas prints. Thank You!

I don't say this lightly, I couldn't make this crazy photography journey of cars and art without your support.

Here is to the best New Year yet! May it bring you all the happiness you deserve! I hope to see you at a show this coming year or at where my art is represented, Forest and Ocean Gallery in Laguna, or Veloce Motors The Vault Miramar in San Diego. Keep the Faith, my friends!

Time For Some Thanks

I always try to look at things in a positive light. After all my art shows being cancelled this year, my on-line orders have never been stronger! So, I try to look at it as one of the best years of my life. As with you, we all faced challenge after challenge, we adapted, and we have overcome for the most part. 2020 has forced us to grow exponentially. I try not to take that for granted. One of the things Monique and I did this year was sale our house for 15 years and move to a new home. I now have a new work space that I love in our home to produce my art (See photo). So, Thanks to all of you that follow me here, your support is really appreciated! Again....THANK YOU!

I wish you all a very Happy Holiday and Merry Christmas! Please say safe, my friends!

Time For A Drive Yet?

Has the pandemic kept you off the road up until now? It has me, but now it appears things are opening up. Maybe if I'm lucky, I may get out to do some shooting in the near future. In the mean time, I've been offering more on line because all the shows that I normally do have either been postponed or canceled until 2021. Boy, what a year...

Here are two custom barn wood framed archival prints. The prints are 8"x 12" matted with white, framed, signed, wired, ready to hang and enjoy. The one on the left is, "Filler Up" and the one on the right is called, "Henry." You can order them separably or booth. Each is $125 including shipping hear in the US. Isn't it time to one of my prints on your wall?

Still No Where To Go

Now that we all know what it feels like to be held virtual prisoners in our homes, it makes us realize what we used to love. All those cars and coffee gatherings, and art shows. And what's a good art show without vendors? I miss meeting people and hearing their stories. One story I remember, was a "Bar Find" '63 Corvette that had been sitting for 50+ years because a service man had gone off to fight and never returned. That car has now been restored and is in the hands of someone that truly valves it's history.

Speaking of Corvettes, do you have one of my prints hanging on your wall?  I'm continuing the "Work From Home Art Promotion" to help you customize art for your work-at-home space. On my website I have a gallery called, "Monthly Hot Buys" and all the images in that gallery are 20% off the listed prices.  If you find an image in that gallery, it can be ordered by clicking on it and in final checkout in the coupon code area use the two words, Hot Buys. Then "Presto" a lower price!
These are Corvette images and you can shop virus-free.

Here is just an example of two of the images in that gallery.

Remember, if you don't want to fame it yourself, you can order one already framed off my site.

A Fearsome Beast

You can set the tone for your space with this fearsome beast image. The Factory RSR was just that for both drivers and competitors. It's the results of passion, spirit of engineering, tradition and craftsmanship. The goal was to to master the challenges of international GT endurance racing. Porsche considered this car the spearhead of the 911 family. Hence, the name of this image is, "Spearhead." Now you can have one of 30 printed.

This is one of my limited editions infused onto metal with the custom brushed metal double float backing. The print is mounted off the backing by about an half inch, giving it a 3D look. It's signed, wired, ready to hang, and enjoy. This print is a 16"x 24" with the backing of 20"x 28" for $595 including shipping in the US.  You'll love it!

Pictured above is the 24"x 36" edition.

Eye Candy....

Hi all, like all of you, I've been home watching a little too much Netflix. I miss the days of getting out and shooting. Just the idea of a road trip seems like a long ago dream.

Well the latest news is the show "Mission Federal ArtWalk" here in San Diego that I have been looking forward to, has been delayed until November 7-8. What can I say...?

However, I do want to share with you one of my new images. It's called, "Underbelly." This is an image of bottom of a original 1967 Porsche 911R. There were 23 of these built to race in International events and they had 50 hp more than the standard 911S and were at least 350 pounds less with the use of lite weight panels. It was considered the ultimate 911 weapon at the time.

So there you have it, "Underbelly" done as a 24"x 24" double float infused on gloss metal with the custom brushed metal backing at 28"x 28". The print sets off the backing by a half inch. This is the "Artist Proof #1" and is signed and numbered with a certificate of authenticity, wired and ready to hang. This is the perfect eye candy for your room.  Shipping in the US is included at, $775.

SOLD!

More Killer Images

Those of you that have been following my blog know that I rarely offer discounts on my work, but with all the art shows closing down for the year that I participate at, it seems only reasonable to offer this now online. So, I wanted to reach out to all of you that have supported me and say "Thank You." I could not do this without you. That said, my promotion will continue.

I'm continuing the "Work From Home Art Promotion" to help you customize art for your work-at-home space. On my website I have a gallery called, "Monthly Hot Buys" and the images in that gallery are 20% off the listed prices. There are always different images being changed out. If you find an image in that gallery, it can be ordered by clicking on it and in final checkout in the coupon code area use the two words, Hot Buys. Then "Presto" a lower price!

Here is just an example of two of the images in that gallery.

How About Some Inspiring Art

Hi all, as I mentioned in my last post, a shout out to our First Responders and Healthcare Works, please stay safe! For all of us working at home, the same.

I totally understand that our daily routines have been disrupted. Work for many of us has moved... well... HOME. Why not do some decorating for that space bringing in some awesomeness?

I'm doing a "Work From Home Art Promotion" to help you customize art for your work-at-home space. Working at Home

Hi all, it seems life has changed for all of us. Most important, God bless our "First Responders" that need to deal with all of this!

For me, I've had it easy compared to them. If you have noticed I have not been doing many posts in the last month or two. The only thing that I've been dealing with, is having both my computers go down with access to my images with no hope to get them up and running for some time. As you read this, I'm limping along on my laptop which also is not at it's best. This brings me to my point of working at home with a computer.

I'm doing a "Work From Home Art Promotion" to help you customize art for your work-at-home space. On my website I have a gallery called, "Monthly Hot Buys" and the images in that gallery are 20% off the listed prices. If you find an image in that gallery, it can be ordered by clicking on it and in final checkout in the coupon code area use the two words, Hot Buys. Then "Presto" a lower price!

Here is just an example of one of the images in the gallery. You can relive the Porsche event "LUFTGEKUHLT 6" with this classic Porsche 917 image.

Kicking Open The Door

Hi all,

Kicking open the time machine door, what do you think of when I mention Lucille Ball and the "Long, Long Trailer?" It was a hilarious movie from 1954. The trailer used was a 36' Redman New Moon model, not much different than the "Spartan Mansion" in my image.

Rather than a written ramble about the small details of each. I encourage my readers to take a moment to study this image close-up to capture the full effect how life was lived on the road back in the day. Can you imagine looking at this each day and wondering the life it has lived and why, need I say, are the classic flamingos there?

This is a 16"x 24" print infused onto metal, framed in a custom wood frame made of honest reclaimed  barn wood. It's signed, wired. and ready to hang and be enjoyed! The price of $450 includes shipping within the US.

Meet Hormel...

Standing in the field between nowhere and somewhere, this "Canned Ham" trailer caught my eye because of it structured graphic design and the vivid color of the New Mexico sky. I guess you could say it's a treasured piece of our past and makes a style statement for your home or office. Meet "Hormel"....

This is a 16"x 24" print infused onto metal, framed in a custom wood frame made of honest reclaimed  barn wood. It's signed, wired. and ready to hang and be enjoyed! The price of $450 includes shipping within the US.

The Logo

You need not utter even a single word. The "Logo" speaks for itself and a life lived. One can only imagine where it has been and what its seen, and the colors and texture can tell a story played out in your mind....

A matted 8"x 12" print on metallic photo paper framed with classic barn wood. It's wired, ready to hang, and enjoy for only, $110 including shipping in the US.

Automobilia Monterey

Monterey back in the day was once a remote artist and fishing town along the coast of California, a home to the likes of John Steinbeck and Ansel Adams. Today, of course, it's the go-to place for auto fanatics during August. I'll be there too, with my fine art photography at Automobilia Monterey. Come visit, I'm just inside the door to the right Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. See you there!

The Wild One

Before the Porsche Factory "Hopped-up" street cars of today emerged, there were 356 Gmund coupes that left a fledgling factory.

Driving these aluminum machines was a new kind of rebel here in the US. Some were young men coming back from the war that were seeking a new kind of sports car. Others joined from a new generation coming of age to a Rock and Roll beat, and breaking more rules than just the speed limit. The Gmund coupes were the start of this being raced in Europe and State Side. This is one of those cars, meet "No Tires Today."

BTW. this was Jerry Seinfeld's car used in the TV production of "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee."

This is a 16"x 24" gloss print infused onto metal and custom made repurposed barn wood frame. It's wired, ready to hang, and be enjoyed! It can be yours for $450 including shipping here in the US.

Alluring at 50 Years Old...

With the 50th anniversary of Porsche's 914 model, I set out to create an image called "Untitled #2" that had the gorgeous hues of its classic "Signal Orange" paint color. What better car to use to have a positively euphoric effect than the 914-6GT, set against an old fire house under the glow of a light. This particular car was used in the 1970 Marathon de la Route. Porsche entered three 914-6GT's in the 86 hour race held at the Nurburgring finishing one, two, and three!

This image can be ordered in a 16"x 24" gloss print infused onto metal with a custom brushed metal backing for $595 or a 24"x 36" for $995. They come signed, ready to hang and enjoy. This is the first time I have offered this image, so the "Artist Proofs" are available and you'll love the detail.

Jewels of Detroit

What could be better than seeing your art go to a collector, and then getting a photo of it hanging in his office! Meet the collection of, Wayne Nentwig of "Gem City Motors" in Sidney, Montana. Wayne is the owner of a Buick/Chevrolet/GMC Dealership and an avid car guy. During a Barrett-Jackson show he and his wife made their way into my booth and fell in love with four of my limited edition prints infused onto metal. I love it when an art collector is born, and makes life a more beautiful place to live or work!

Remember, when your world looks good...you look good...the better you look the better you feel...

The Caddy...

I have not scoured the entire globe, nor the entire internet, nor that perilous void know as the dark web, to find its equal, but I have done some looking. This Caddy just spoke to me, so it had to be put into print.

Here's your monthly calendar to cut and post on a surface of your choosing...
