Time to Move On

2020 to 2021, it's time to move on! I'm sure we'll all agree, it's time...

I would like to say your support this past year is really appreciated. With all my shows canceled, many of you were on my website and ordered photo paper prints, others ordered the custom limited edition metal prints, and still others ordered "Print on demand produces" like shirts, mask, phone cases, and canvas prints. Thank You!

I don't say this lightly, I couldn't make this crazy photography journey of cars and art without your support.

Here is to the best New Year yet! May it bring you all the happiness you deserve! I hope to see you at a show this coming year or at where my art is represented, Forest and Ocean Gallery in Laguna, or Veloce Motors The Vault Miramar in San Diego. Keep the Faith, my friends!

"Rev's Up"...

The glory of simplicity. The hand sculpted look of bare aluminium on the dash of a Porsche Spyder has a spiritual feel when you see it in person. What eyes have seen the sweep hand rocket upwards in the heat of battle? One can only wonder and dream. You too can wonder anytime you want with this image called, "Rev's Up."

Its available in deck top size to poster size in archival paper prints off my site, or a "Limited Edition" image infused onto metal. Imagine having this for your office or man cave!

Here's the link to see it on my site for paper or contact me directly for metal. "Rev's Up"

The Stuff Dreams Were Made Of....

I've had a slight obsession with vintage trailers lately. They were the things dreams were made of. Used going camping with the family, a place to rest after a long day of fishing, sitting around a glowing hot camp fire, marshmallows stuck on an old metal clothes hanger. Good memories...

One has to wonder what memories could this "Canned Ham" trailer tell.... Let your thoughts wonder.

This is a new image that has not been printed yet, however it is destined to be printed on gloss metal soon, and put into a vintage barn wood frame.

You can get in on this "Black Friday-Cyber Monday" sale starting Nov. 21-ending Nov. 27. Well, it's more of a "Give Thanks" sale to all of my collectors and others that follow along with me.
Take 20% off the regular price of $395 ($316 + shipping) for a framed 16"x 24," that's a $79 savings!

Donohue's 917-30 Finds New Homes

It's not every week that I get to see the smiles of two friends and collectors,  when I deliver framed prints of Mark Donohue's Porsche 917-30 twin turbo. Indeed, a good week! Dave and Steve are both happy campers!

Now for some different news about a cool show I've been juried into. If you love all kinds of art and live in SoCal, you may have heard of the Laguna Beach Art Festivals, the Sawdust, the Festival of Arts, and the Art-A-Fair. They all run the months of July and August. I'll be showing in the Art-A-Fair this summer! But wait, that's not all........I can send you a special invitation to the "Premiere Night" at the Art-A-Fair plus a season pass for two. All you need to do is send me your address and I'll get it in the mail to you. Tell me you can't wait! I'll post more about this as we get closer. So for now, have fun and drive safe on this Holiday Weekend!

Just Thinking To Myself

Just thinking to myself. What if you printed your photos an no one ever saw them? That would be a shame...  Well, I just want to say thanks for tuning in to my email/blog. I feel pretty lucky to have you guys checking out my images, and in response to my last post, two "Ultimate Weapon" framed prints went to collectors!

Now for a shameless plug. I've added quite a few new images throughout my photo site, and if you haven't been there recently, you should check it out. If there is something you like, you can order it off the site with or without mats and frames, or contact me directly. The link: JohnStraubImageWorks.com

Let me know if you find something that you gotta have, and don't forget to forward this email to your other half for birthday ideas!

Mission Federal ArtWalk

How time flies! It doesn't seem like a year ago I was set up in San Diego's Little Italy doing ArtWalk. However, this year is special to me. I was chosen to be one of eight "Featured Artists" out of 350 artist participating!  I'll be there with my fine art automotive images at the southwest corner on India St. and Cedar St. My booth is 318 on Cedar St. just across the street from the Burger Lounge, how convenient!

I hope you can join me for the 34th annual Mission Federal ArtWalk, San Diego's premier arts and culture event. It's next weekend, free and covers 17 blocks with the two day festival with painting, sculpture, glass work, jewelry and of course photography. The times are 11:00 to 6:00pm both days.

You can find out more info here: www.artwalksandiego.org/missionfederal/

The Man Cave

Your man cave can never have enough stuff in it! You know, really valuable stuff...stuff that only you and I can understand. Well, I guess that's the way it's been since the first car rolled down the dirt street. However, if you want to add something really-really cool to your cave, take a look at this! I've teamed up with Garage Graphics to produce super large wall art. It's a look at my 10'x 20' backlit new Ford GT image, life size! On a side note, I'm not sure if you know, but Ford GT's just took 1st and 2nd in class at the Daytona 24hrs. They are powered by a 3.5-liter V6 at 647 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque. They have a 7-speed dual clutch transmission sending that power to the rear wheels. A cool car indeed! Now back to my infomercial, "But wait, there's more"...you could have this in your man cave or any other of my photo site images for that matter! And they are super easy to install. If you're interested contact Doug at Garage Graphics, they come in other sizes too and they don't need to be 10'x 20'. Please pass this along to any of your car buddies in case they are interested too.
